After my first positive „long-distance travel experience“, I moved from Southeast Asia to the other side of the world to Central America in 2017. The plan was to travel on part of the „Gringo Trail“. Therefore, I travelled from Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula for 4.5 weeks via Mexico, to Belize and then over to Guatemala to Lake Attitlan.

These are a few selected impressions from the Yucatan Peninsula. All in all, I did not have such a positive impression of Mexico due to various police encounters and the rather aggressive „tourist talk“. Maybe I would give Mexico another chance sometime.
