Ever since I walked through Angkor Wat in Cambodia with 16-year-old Lara Croft in the first level of Tomb Raider IV: The Last Revelation, I have been dying to visit the country. In the course of my visit to Vietnam, I also had the opportunity to make an extensive detour to Cambodia before the worldwide pandemic.

Besides the impressive temples, I was particularly touched by the history of the Khmer Rouge and the resulting genocide, but also by the uncanny friendliness and rich culture of the Cambodians. Cambodia, I want to see you again!
