Three months before the start of this miserable Corona pandemic, I made my last „real“ long-distance trip to South-East Asia, without suspecting that the world would be a different place afterwards. Before my visit, I only knew Vietnam from various war films. Since I also wanted to visit Cambodia on the same trip, I limited myself only to the south of Vietnam.

Even several decades after the war, this country is still marked by the war. In addition, the influence of China and the government can be felt in many places. Openly speaking out about grievances in Vietnam?! Ah, ah. At least if you want to continue to have a job, health insurance, etc. Nevertheless, the country is impressive and marked by history. Its people do the rest.
